Two is always better than one. Well, maybe not always, but in the case of Mod Pop Art variants, it sure is. Art can often be a process of trial and error. The finished product doesn't always come out the way I initially pictured it in my head, but that is not necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes it will be better than I anticipated it to look, much to my surprise. And during this process of trial and error, I often find that I can't decide between two (or seven) different versions of a piece. So I usually say why not give the art collector a choice? Most variances are just colors; but in this case, I wanted to give the buyer the choice between having The Underwoods from House of Cards displayed in front of or behind the American flag. My personal favorite is Version 1 because I like the aesthetic of subtle color overlays, but also because it looks like they are in a cage or behind bars, where these sordid characters deserve to be. But Version 2 is starker and bolder - which also matches The Underwoods' personalities - so it gives a different, but also apt, vibe.
