Description
This piece was actually my first idea for my Monkees/No Country for Old Men mashup, but I ended up doing "He's Gone!" first. I thought my joke that Anton Chigurh has a goofy Monkees haircut would be funnier, and the art more impactful, to do an entire scene with The Monkees singing and playing, but to replace one of them with Anton. Anton Chigurh, of course, is the creepy villain from No Country for Old Men, played amazingly by Javier Bardem. And I dig how this turned out. But afterward, I felt I still needed to do my original idea, the much simpler four floating heads, which is a parody of the end credits of The Monkees TV show. So, as I often do, I said, "Why not do both?" So here you go - this one's for you minimalists out there. Well, minimalists into both No Country for Old Men and The Monkees ... so all three of you.
