This piece was actually my first idea for my Monkees/No Country for Old Men mashup, but I ended up doing "He's Gone!" first and this second. I thought the joke would be funnier and the art more impactful to do an entire scene with The Monkees singing and playing, but to replace one of them with Chigurh. And I dig how it turned out. But afterward, I felt I still needed to do my original idea, the much simpler four floating heads, which is a parody of the end credits of The Monkees TV show. So, as I often do, I said, "Why not do both?" So here you go - this one's for you minimalists out there!
