My mixed-media approach to creating my Mod Pop Art combines organically hand-painted digital artwork with modern clean-line graphic design techniques. (Note: the word "digital" is not to be confused with "AI," which is defined by fake computer-generated images spat out by programs fueled by the stolen work of 1000s of artists.) In my work, every single brush stroke, line, and shape is meticulously created organically by my hand, just as I do with my physical drawings and paintings, the only difference being that I use a stylus pen, a mouse, and a screen. The benefits of working digitally are many, including the ability to quickly view (and change) different color combinations, work in layers, and create multiple variants and sizes, as well as print on many different mediums. Oh, and it saves a hell of a lot of space in my studio!
★ THE METAL FINE ART PRINT: Finely crafted using a professional archival process, the Plaid Design metal fine art print is a museum-quality piece of artwork, and the ultimate medium for my Mod Pop Art. Printed using archival LED inks on white Dibond metal panels, these unique art prints have a beautiful matte/gloss combination finish, yielding an unmatched quality of depth, color, and detail, which my colorful, clean-line artwork was made for. Dibond is a composite material made of two aluminum sheets bonded to a solid polyethylene core; thin and lightweight but exceptionally strong and durable, Dibond panels are resistant to scratches, weather, water, and fire, and thus will last over 100 years or more if properly cared for. Metal fine art prints come ready to hang (no frame needed), with a cool 3D "float off the wall" effect.

WHAT IS A GICLÉE?
The word "giclée" (zhee•clay) is a fancy-sounding French word that simply means "to spray" or "to squirt" (much like an inkjet printer does). In the art world, this refers specifically to art prints made with only the finest archival pigment inks, papers, and canvases. This ensures an extraordinary level of detail, accuracy, and color reproduction, and the term "archival" refers to this exceptional quality and significant longevity of well over 100 years, which is far superior to that of a "standard" art print (hence the price difference).
