My original idea for "Come Play with Us" actually involved this silhouette I drew of Danny Torrance on his big wheel tricycle. It was going to have him and the Grady twins together. I tried to put it together in many different ways, but it just wasn't working for me. So I sent poor Danny (and Tony, I guess) to the scrap heap and focused solely on the twins. Redrum indeed. Two years later, on the anniversary of The Shining's release, I threw together a quick mock-up of this for an Instagram post as an "outtake." People seemed to like it, as they demanded that I release it as an official Plaid Design Mod Pop Art piece. I obliged and made it so.
